Haugen Feriesenter går under navnet Haugen Camping i Brønnøysundregistrene.
Haugen Holiday Center goes under the name Haugen Camping in the Brønnøysund registers of Norwegian companies. Haugen Feriesenter is a campsite with holiday home rentals on Lauvøylandet, 500 meters from Tro ferry dock. In 2021, the current owner bought the former Lauvøylandet school. Until now, the holiday center has functioned as an offer of accommodation center for heritage tourists, i.e. people with roots in the island community. Eventually, we hope that the campsite can attract hikers, fishing tourists and tourists interested in history.
Fish can be caught on a pole at the speed boat quay at Tro, but also at Tro Handelssted you can throw out the line and almost certainly catch a bite.
A beautiful beach can be found in Trovika. It is located furthest south in the island community.
Only 100-200 meters from Haugen Feriesenter is Troosen. There is an os, a kind of pond with a view to Røyfjellet. It is nature's own swimming pool. There is brackish water. Osen is loved by older children. Here they can dive from the jetty and swim out and climb onto the raft.
Røyfjellet is a mountain that is worth climbing. Spectacular viewpoint.
The campsite and the holiday home share WC and shower rooms. There are 4 separate toilets and 3 showers divided between 2 changing rooms. A WC has a changing table and a separate washbasin. A WC is located on the campsite. There are sockets and mirrors in the shower closets. There, guests can both shave and blow-dry their hair. Guests must bring a hairdryer and shaver.
The three rooms in the holiday home share a fully equipped kitchen. There is a coffee maker, kettle, microwave and a large shared fridge.
Common living room in the basement. Here there is a comfortable corner sofa with a coffee table. There is free WiFi for guests in the Holiday House.
A super cozy barbecue area is available on the property for free use by guests. Coal and firewood must be brought by the guests themselves.
1. The red, round Røyfjellet in the very north of Røyen. It is said to be 307.7 meters high. Spectacular views are provided in all directions.
2. The petroglyph field from the Stone Age in Valen. That's where the "Skier på Tro" is located. It was the model for the pictograms during the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer in 1994. Actually, it should be called "the skier in Valen".
3. the Bronze Age petroglyph field in Trovika, furthest south. From the same historical era, there are Bronze Age graves in Tangen, the farthest north of the island community.
4. At southwest of Tro we find the ruins of the old Tro Handelssted, follow the road sign "Troberget".
There is rich wildlife here, many species of birds, sea eagles. Deer and elk have their moves here. Rich in in plants and herbs, among them, wild orchids.
